OK - I'm going to jinx it - but it looks like the house is sold! Funny thing is that we're actually selling to the couple who put the offer in on the first day we listed. It was originally low - so we countered - heard they were going to accept...then nothing. Eventually they came back to look again...nothing. Finally came back a third time on Monday and resubmitted an offer for the amount we had countered with way back before Christmas. SO we were about to accept when another agent called to come for a 2nd look. I felt a pretty strong impression to have our agent hold on to that offer until after this agent came through today. In the mean time we decided to check with a couple of the other Realtors that had interested parties. By the end of the day, we had 4 potential offers!!!! In the end we went with the original couple - they found out they might lose the house and decided to give us full asking price. We may have been able to get a little more if we entered into a bidding war between these other offers, but these people are solid - have their financing all lined up, are working with a good realtor, and can close before we leave for London January 27th (less than 3 weeks away!!!), plus we like them and feel really good about selling the house we love to them. So - if I haven't jinxed this...things should be official tomorrow. To top it all off...we think we may have sold the van today too! Yea!!! Hopefully I can put together a real post soon. I have tons to post - pics from Christmas, Noah's latest (he has a whole rack of teeth and is trying to crawl - help!), Drew's birthday, etc. Hope all is well with y'all!
