Luke is 5 months!

Here we are at 5 months! Luke is almost sitting and starting to get up on his hands and knees and "rev up"! I have a feeling we'll be crawling way too soon! He's also working on cutting his bottom two teeth - should pop through literally any second. The kid's been a slobbery mess and a little cranky, but not as bad as the other 3 kids were, I think. Luke is suddenly really into trying to get a taste of any food he can and is waking up more often at night (boo!)- so we've started the rice cereal a bit. He's definitely a fan! Now I just have to get in the habit of sitting him down to eat! On to another month!

Christmas: Part 1

We were going to Utah this year for Christmas, but with traveling for Christmas comes the dilemma of getting all the presents back home - especially now that you have to pay for your dang baggage!!! So, we decided to have Santa come before we left town to bring anything that was too big to bring home on the plane. Here are a few pictures of our first Christmas this year!
I decided to give them their Christmas Eve pjs early - might as well get more bang for my buck, right? Luke was so ticked for this picture!!!He promptly fell to sleep after the picture (guess he was tired!) which allowed for this priceless shot of his first Christmas...Noah puttin' the dunk on his new hoop...Addie creating her first masterpiece on the new easel...Christmas bumbo baby/Yoda...
New tractors from Grandma and Grandpa!!!Luke just wanted to eat the packaging of course...

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a great Thanksgiving this year thanks to a full house of visitors. My mom and dad were here of course, plus Matt & Amanda and Tessa & her "friend" Adam! Lots of good food, Wii, football, and a visit to the Gaylord Texan to see the Christmas decorations. Good times! Turns out I didn't take a ton of pictures though...but here's some of what I've got...

The turkey bowlers...
Some tom turkey cupcakes...Noah and Grandpa checking out the trains at the Gaylord. Noah is obsessed with trains right now - could've stayed there forever and wanted to!!!
Oh look! More trains!
Adam and Tessa with the kids...almost looks like they could be theirs!
Matt (and his beard) entertaining Lukers...

Happy Halloween!

Lots of Halloween happenings for us this year (which I like 'cause it makes me feel better about the money spent on costumes!)...

The annual Kneeland Halloween party (aka: night of disgustingness and humiliation with a little fun mixed in) kicked things off. Wade and I decided to take from our recent adventures and dress up as little British school kids...

Wade's wearing his "British teeth" here, but I made him take them out because they totally freaked me out...so gross!!! And look - I'm even pasty white like a little British kid!
The we had trunk-or-treat at church, which ended up inside because of the inches and inches of rain we were having. Here's the pictures we snapped before we left... We had a little Halloween feast - mummy pizzas & hot dogs, deviled egg eyes and ghost cupcakes. Here's Addie enjoying hers...
And finally, Halloween night we set off for the neighborhood "Monster Mile"...
The "Monster Mile" is basically a series of characters (Superman, Cinderella, even Barney) stationed up and down the main neighborhood thoroughfare passing out candy. Noah was pretty much freaked out by most of them and was perfectly content to observe from the safety of his stroller while I collected his candy! He did learn to say "trick-or-treat" though (thank you, Dora) and was probably the most excited of all the kids about the candy and can now say "canny!" (candy). Here's a few pictures...
