Our car FINALLY arrived about 3 weeks ago and we have since been enjoying a little more ease in getting around (and out of) this crazy town. Whilst (a little UK lingo) this has been wonderful, having the car has not come without it's pitfalls. This whole driving on the other side of the road thing is really not so bad. What's tricky is driving from the right side of the car while judging how much room you have on the left. Besides already having 2 parking tickets (at 50 pounds each!), I've had a few close calls with parked cars and a lot of run ins with various curbs. One such run in ended in disaster and ripped a huge hole in the sidewall of my tire - which by the way wasn't completely my fault! I swerved to miss some idiot (lots of those on the roads here...most of them drive buses) and just happened to hit the one spot on the curb where there was a piece missing leaving a big sharp tire destroying corner. Luckily I was just around the block from the house and limped my injured car home only to find our car didn't come with a spare tire. So here's my little car being towed away...
