The latest...

Sorry - I've been so busy with things, I haven't had a chance to update the blog. I'm single parenting it these days...Wade's back in London until May 27th and the kids are NOT making it easy! Thank goodness I'm here in Utah with family to help or I'd be completely insane by now!

We did buy a house. After little luck finding anything that was just right in our old stomping grounds, we decided to head out a little farther to a new area called Lantana (I think I mentioned it in my last post). We found a house out there already under construction that was dang near perfect (at a price we'd never beat) and decided to jump on it. So, we're a little sad that we won't be rolling right back into life as usual in Flower Mound, but are really excited about what awaits in Lantana. Really, we're only about 10 minutes from where we were before -still in easy reach of our friends, etc., but we'll be in different schools and a different ward, so that will change things a lot. Here's a picture of the house...

I have to say that I'm pretty excited to be in a brand new house. No one else's ugly decorating style to fix, no one's stupid cat has peed on my carpet, and any dirt is in that house will have come from us! I like it! Plus I got to pick my carpet and some of the paint colors...fun!

We plan to roll in to town on June 5th after a "fun" 20 hour drive from Utah (can't wait for that one!). If any of you have made the drive and have advice on which route to take, how long it really takes to get there, etc., I'd LOVE to hear it! The next day we'll be hauling everything out of storage and will have to get by on that until our things arrive from London 4-5 weeks later. I see lots of eating out and paper plates in our future!

Everything is going well with baby #4. I'm about 29 weeks and humongous. Really...I think this kid's going to come out the size of a 2 year old! I've been to the doctor here and everything looks as it should be.

Our other big happenings surround Noah. For those of you that don't know the situation, at 2 weeks from his 2nd birthday, he isn't speaking and has a few other characteristics that have caused some concern. So, we've started the process here of having him assessed and figuring out what help he may need. After seeing our pediatrician here, we've been in contact with the Utah Early Intervention program, and they've determined that Noah's developmental delays are significant enough to warrant entering him into the program. So, we're now in the process of having further assessments done through Early Intervention and will have a meeting with them next Thursday to discuss in what specific areas Noah might benefit from having some help...speech therapists, etc. The hope is to put together a plan of attack that we can transfer to the program out in Texas.

So - I'm tired, and honestly, pretty overwhelmed right now, but life is heading in the right direction! Wade comes back in a week and then we can start into the next phase of our crazy life and hopefully get some structure back into our lives again (just in time for the baby to come - ahhh!).
